New Israel Fund Canada (NIFC) is dedicated to strengthening democracy in Israel by supporting Israeli non-profit organizations that work to protect civil and human rights, improve the status of women, bridge social and economic gaps, assist persons with disabilities, further Jewish-Israeli Arab coexistence, foster pluralism and improve the environment.
New Israel Fund of Canada educates Canadians about the work of NIF through programs and activities, raises money to support the Israeli non-profit sector and Israeli organizations.
NIFC works closely with SHATIL, the capacity building arm of NIF, whose multi-cultural staff annually provides more than 600 nonprofit organizations with direct consulting and workshops in organizational development, leadership training, coalition building, conflict management, media and public relations, needs assessment, resource development and volunteer management.
