Assistant to the National Development Director |

The New Israel Fund (NIF), the leading international organization dealing with human rights and democracy building in Israel, seeks a development assistant in its National Office in Washington, D.C. The position reports to the National Development Director and two senior development professionals, with other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide assistance to the National Development Director. Duties will include, but not be limited to - production and tracking of budgets, fundraising analysis, report production utilizing Raisers Edge database, research.
• Provide assistance to two regional directors by tracking regional donors weekly basis; crafting and sending invitations for regional events and act as point-person for RSVP’s; donor research and other assistance as needed.
• Assist Executive Assistant with the 3 annual board meetings including: research and selection of locations; working with hotel and catering staff; and helping to run the event.
• Assist Executive Assistant with Law Fellows program, as required.
• Producing print and virtual (PDF) version of board materials. • Taking minutes at various meetings.
• Serve as the liaison for New Generations program in Washington, DC. The New Generations cultivates the next generation of leaders and philanthropists to advance social justice in Israel. Areas of responsibility would involve working with steering committee to help plan events, mailings etc.
• Maintain office and kitchen supplies.
• Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications: College degree required and a minimum of 1 year’s office experience a plus. Must be knowledgeable in budgeting and statistical analysis. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge database a plus. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and able to balance a variety of assignments effectively and efficiently.
