American Institute of Philanthropy 
NIF has received an “A +” rating from the American Institute of Philanthropy. The rating is based on numerous factors including the percentage of expenses spent on programs, cost of fundraising, the years of available assets, and compensation of executives. (membership needed)

The American Institute of Philanthropy (AIP) is a nationally prominent charity watchdog service whose purpose is to help donors make informed giving decisions. AIP's standards for evaluating charities are considered the most stringent in the sector.

 

Better Business Bureau

A BBB accredited charity is an organization that meets all 20 of the BBB Standards for Charity Accountability based on a review of information and materials provided by the organization. There is no charge to the charity for the evaluation completed by the BBB.
