A-Dar—the Association to Promote the City of Ramle

This organization works on behalf of the Arab community in Ramle, a community which finds itself in a complicated situation due to the fact that its mayor openly expresses anti-Arab positions. The organization focuses on promoting outline plans for the Arab neighborhoods, as well as on legal activity that would equalize the rights of the Arab population. It was established before the SHATIL Mixed Cities project began operating in the city; it has grown stronger since then and works in close conjunction with the project. With the completion of the SHATIL project, the organization could lead the campaign by Arab residents of the city for equal rights.
