Congratulations to New Israel Fund of Canada,

The awards, based on on-line reviews by donors, constituents and associates, were hosted by GreatNonProfits, the leading provider of reviews of non-profits. Over the course of the Jewish Choice Awards, more than 103,000 people visited the GreatNonProfits site and almost 4,000 reviews in total were posted. Thanks to all who contributed reviews.

Our Mission

New Israel Fund of Canada is committed to fostering the development of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state as envisioned in her Declaration of Independence.  Inequality, injustice, and intolerance contradict Jewish values and threaten Israel's stability and the health of her growing society.

NIFC supports Israelis building civil society infrastructure for a more just society in Israel and sponsors events to educate Canadians about the challenges facing Israel.

About Us

The New Israel Fund family is a worldwide partnership dedicated to safeguarding civil and human rights, bridging social and economic gaps, fostering tolerance for all Israel's citizens and residents, and creating an environment for Judaism in all its many forms of practice to thrive.

We work closely with SHATIL, the capacity building arm of the NIF, whose multi-cultural staff annually provides hundreds of non-profit organizations with consulting and workshops in organizational development, leadership training, coalition building, conflict management, media and public relations, needs assessment, resource development and volunteer management.

Our projects stress a grass-roots approach to empowering some of Israel's most disadvantaged groups such as Ethiopian Israelis, Bedouin women, single-parent families, and the disabled.

New Israel Fund is the leading organization of its kind in Israel.  With 30 years of experience, it comes as no suprise that Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz wrote that "There is hardly any significant socially-oriented organization in Israel today that does not owe its existence to the NIF."
