Within the Israel office, many different departments work in unison to further NIF's goals of safeguarding civil and human rights, bridging social and economic gaps, and fostering tolerance and religious pluralism. The Grants Department administers grants to non-profit organizations; evaluates proposals and programs according to NIF policy, and monitors organizations' activities.

Since it is essential to us that our supporters have every opportunity to understand the work we do here, the Department of Donor Services develops relationships with donors, and encourages social responsibility in the Israeli business sector. Activities of this department include organizing study tours for donors and other interested organizations in Israel, as well as planning educational speaking tours of Israelis outside of Israel.

Raising funds that help NIF continue its work with Israel's social change organizations is the responsibility of the Resource Development Department in Israel. This department fundraises within the Israeli community; reaching out to individuals, corporations and foundations, and also represents NIF in partnerships with other foundations. Preparation of grant proposals and reporting to funders is also done here.

The Department of Communications and Public Education acts as a link between the Israel office and NIF's offices throughout the world, sharing information about grantee activities and accomplishments. As well as coordinating public education activities in Israel, this department is responsible for promoting NIF and its grantees to the press, both in Israel and internationally.
