Passover is approaching and Jews around the world will repeat the re
frain that represents a deeply-rooted longing for Jerusalem. Palestinian
s\, as well\, have a deep religious and historical connection to the city\
, and the status of Jerusalem remains one of the core issues in the Israel
i–Palestinian conflict.

Over the past few years\, the force
d eviction of Palestinian families from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in
East Jerusalem has added a further impediment to the peaceful future of Je
rusalem. In response\, an organized and joint Israeli/Palestinian non-vi
olent opposition to the eviction has grown into an effective and inspiring
protest movement. Home Front: Portraits from Sheikh Jarrah profiles som
e of the activists involved in this growing protest movement\, which is ga
rnering international attention.

Join the New Israel Fund and
J Street NYC as we examine these current events and deliberate a future
hope for an equitable and just Jerusalem.

About the
