[SF New Gen] Independence & Remembrance: What do Yom Ha’zikaron and Yom Ha’atzmaut mean to you?

Thursday 08 May 2014, 07:00pm - 09:15pm

Reflecting on these pivotal dates on the Israeli calendar, we invite you to join us for an evening of conversation.  These dates mean very different things to different people, as Jewish communities in Israel and internationally observe them as Memorial and Independence days while the contrasting commemoration observed by Palestinians is “the Nakba” (or Catastrophe).

We welcome you to explore the myriad of perspectives through a facilitated experience.  Help us improve the conversation as we work to build connection around Israel.

*Please note that this is a Facilitation Fellowship practice session that we are opening up to the New Generations (young adult) community.
