You’re invited to join NIF – New Generations, J Street NYC Young Professionals Network, and Congregation Beth Elohim’s Brooklyn Jews for a satirical Purim Spiel, as we are transported back to the world of Ancient Persia away from the sweetness of the Purim fairy tale we’ve come to know.

The holiday of Purim and its legend of Esther is not just for kids. The Megillah reveals a complex and morally twisted parable for the Jewish people, fraught with sexual innuendo, espionage, and, ultimately, genocide. This year, New York and London-based theater puppeteer Randy Ginsburg will present a shadow puppet performance of the Whole Megillah, unpacking the story's intricacies and moral dilemmas to bring the lessons of this ancient tale to modern day Israel.

RSVP HERE!
