Women Against Violence
NASHIM NEGED ALIMOOT
GOALS To promote the human rights of Israeli–Palestinian women; to advance Arab women's direct influence on centers of power; and to eliminate gender-based violence.
BACKGROUND WAV, an Israeli-Palestinian women's organization established in 1992, is working from Nazareth on a national level. The organization's goal is to advance the status of women in Arab society. Two years ago, WAV shifted its focus to striving to promote women's involvement in the public and political centers of influence.
