In response to the Illegal Migrants Bill, which allows asylum seekers and their children to be imprisoned for three years and those assisting them for up to 15 years, NIF Israel's Don't Remain Silent Campaign put a collage of MKs on its Facebook page. Displaying photos of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and 34 other members of Knesset, the caption reads “Your grandfather was a refugee too. Shame!” Within a day, the page received hundreds of “likes,” which reflects the frustration of the Israeli public about an anti-refugee measure more draconian than that of any other democracy.
