Interview with Hagai El-Ad (Part 1)
In early May, Hagai El-Ad, executive director of NIF's flagship grantee the Association for Civil Rights in Israel, visited the U.S. We took this opportunity to ask him some tough questions about the real situation for human rights in Israel, the erosion of democracy, the unpopularity of some of the causes ACRI takes on, and the frequent attacks on NIF, ACRI and other leaders of progressive civil society. Hagai, who previously ran former NIF grantee Jerusalem Open House, is honest and forthright about the many challenges we face in Israel. Watch the video and hear for yourself, and send to your family and friends to let them know that we cannot take Israeli democracy for granted.
