The Israeli cabinet has appointed NIF Israel Executive Director Eliezer Yaari as one of nine new members to the country's Culture & Arts Council. The appointment was made at the recommendation of Israel's Minister for Culture, Arts and Sport Galeb Majadle. The 26-member council forms an advisory body consulted by the government on matters relating to art and culture. Other new members include the famous singer Yehoram Gaon, former Labor MK Yehiel Leket and Israeli Arab actor Nasrin Fuar Ali.
