SHATIL’s National Budget Project Coordinator Eran Klein addressed a group of students at the Hebrew University on the politics of the State’s budget process and about how citizens can organize to effect change through greater knowledge of that process. The talk was jointly sponsored by the Hebrew University Students’ Union and the Social Economic Academy, a nonprofit that promotes critical social-economic discourse.

“It was during the strike, and I wondered if anyone would show up,” Klein said. “But it turns out dozens of students were interested in the subject.”

The audience kept Klein there well after the end of the lecture with many questions, especially about what they could do to create change.
