Ma’ase Olam: A Year of Action in Israel in Partnership with Mercaz Ma’ase

Ma'ase Olam is a joint 10 month social justice program in communities in the social periphery of Israel (September 2011-June 2012) for young people from Israel and North America. Ma’ase Olam is a platform for the development of Jewish leadership as well as an experiential training ground for young adults committed to social change and social justice. The program, informed by the values of local community responsibility and global Jewish Peoplehood, will include 25 weekly hours of volunteer work in formal and informal education systems as well as in local NGO’s, Hebrew and Israel studies in the classroom and in the field, and professional development in all areas pertinent to social change activism.
