PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The National Operations Associate works closely with the Executive Vice President to increase the performance of NIF’s national and international staff. The National Operations Associate also works closely with the Vice President of Strategy to develop, execute, and integrate all facets of NIF’s strategic initiatives.

LOCATION: NIF's New York Office

START DATE: Immediately

RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the NIF Executive Vice President in all aspects of instituting a high-performance agenda for NIF and its staff (47%), including:

  • Arrange and ensure follow up for EVP’s meetings, scheduling and travel;
  • Provide key US-side logistical support for NIF International Board meetings;
  • Coordinate and organize effective systems for US and international staff
  • Cultivate and support a collaborative high-performance organizational culture

Works closely with the Vice President of Strategy in all aspects of developing, executing, and integrating NIF’s new strategic initiatives (47%), including:

  • Facilitating US staff collaboration, learning, and integration around new strategic initiatives, including in-person staff gatherings
  • Integrating NIF-D into existing donor communications and developing new strategies to cultivate donor-centered communication around strategic initiatives
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of major gifts donors circle centered around NIF-D
  • Provide key support to a national strategy for NIF’s public presence, including assisting with the coordination of visiting speakers and grantees to the US

Assist in the planning and implementation of New York area programming, including brainstorming sessions, managing logistics, and staffing events with an emphasis on New Generations programming (6%)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Energetic, intelligent generalist with a bias towards pro-active problem solving
  • Able to perform with grace and humor under pressure
  • Comfortable and skilled at interacting with a wide variety of people
  • Well-organized, detail oriented and fierce about deadlines
  • Able to manage several projects at once
  • Bachelor's degree
  • High proficiency in web research, MS Word, Excel and general knowledge of computer maintenance and functions required; familiarity with Raiser’s Edge (or other databases), and Salsa's database and email tools strongly preferred
  • Spoken Hebrew fluency strongly preferred
  • Prior office management experience and/or nonprofit work experience preferred
  • Familiarity with and strong commitment to Israel, social justice, and NIF’s mission
