Jennifer Spitzer (formerly Gorovitz) is Vice President for Finance, Operations and Administration of the New Israel Fund. Spitzer came to NIF in 2015 from the national law firm of Manatt, Phelps and Phillips. Previously, Jennifer was the CEO of the San Francisco-based Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund, after having served in a number of management roles. Spitzer was the first woman CEO of a major North American Federation. During her nearly five years as CEO, Spitzer was recognized in The Jewish Daily Forward’s “Forward 50” list of influential leaders and was selected as one of the Bay Area’s “Most Influential Women” by the San Francisco Business Times.

Jennifer is the Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of Urban Adamah and sits on the Board of Directors of Camp Tawonga. In 2015, she was recognized by Death Penalty Focus for her pro bono efforts, and in 2014, was the recipient of the Landres Courage for Dignity Award by Keshet for her work with the LGBTQ Jewish community. She is an alumna of the Wexner Heritage Program.

Jennifer received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and her B.A. from Stanford University.
