Peter Edelman is a Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center, where he teaches constitutional law and poverty law. He and his wife, Children Defense Fund’s founder Marian Wright Edelman, are lifelong advocates for children’s rights and poverty issues. Professor Edelman has served in all three branches of government. He most recently authored So Rich So Poor: Why It’s’So Hard to End Poverty in America and has written extensively on poverty, constitutional law, and children and youth. Professor Edelman grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Law School.
