Involving the Next Generation of Leaders in the Work and Vision of the New Israel Fund

New Generations cultivates the next generation of leaders and philanthropists to advance social justice in Israel. We are an open and vibrant community of NIF supporters that provides an alternative voice on Israel based on inclusive democratic values and social justice. New Generations currently has active chapters in New York, San Francisco, and Washington DC.

New Generations offers a variety of programs- including lectures, films, social events, and discussions with leading Israeli social activists - to address the issues and challenges facing Israel today. Major New Generations events include:

• An annual New Generations New York Benefit in June
• An annual New Generations San Francisco Benefit
• The New Generations Trip to Israel.

Previous New Generations Events:

• Behind-the-Scenes of Israel's Social Justice Movement – Shabbat dinner with staff from Shatil , the New Israel Fund's empowerment and training center for social change organizations in Israel, with presentations on Shatil's work with Ethiopian immigrants, the Jewish/Arab "mixed cities," Bedouin youth, and the LGBT community.
• Cocktails & a Movie – A screening co-sponsored with the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival of "What a Wonderful Place", a film dealing with the issues of migrant workers and human trafficking, and a pre-film cocktail hour at San Francisco 's Lime Bar. 
• Funding to Effect Social Change: A Joint Salon with New Generations and AJWS – A home-hosted discussion about the values and approaches of these two international Jewish organizations for identifying and funding grassroots organizations in Israel and throughout the developing world. 
• The Israeli Elections in Real-Time – A gathering to watch Israeli election results broadcast live from Israel, including analysis with political scientist Mark Rosenblum of Queens College.

We offer a variety of programs throughout the year, including discussions with leading Israeli social activists, film screenings, Shabbat dinners, and an annual trip to Israel.  We celebrate the work of the New Israel Fund at the annual New Generations benefit events, which take place once a year in New York and San Francisco.
