Knowledge is Power: Freedom of Information in Israel

Professor Amnon Rubinstein is a former member of Knesset, an author and a law scholar.  He founded the Shinui political party, and served as Minister of Education, among other positions.  Currently a visiting scholar at Columbia University, Professor Rubinstein is a regular commentator on constitutional matters in Israel, and an op-ed writer for Ha'aretz.  He will speak on the issue of transparency in Israel's democratic institutions, and the Movement for Freedom of Information's work to empower NGOs through access to information.
