Responding to the news that the commander of the IDF’s Central Command has decided to end the practice of nighttime home invasions in the West Bank for “intelligence mapping” purposes, NIF CEO Daniel Sokatch issued the following statement:

“The New Israel Fund is so proud of the work of our grantees Yesh Din, Physicians for Human Rights-Israel and Breaking the Silence — they successfully challenged the indefensible practice of military invasions into the private homes of Palestinian families in the West Bank.

“I am gratified to see this appalling practice ending and grateful to our courageous grantees who helped to end it.”
