NIF grantee FakeReporter, an Israeli disinformation watchdog group, exposed a popular Twitter account that had been working to support Likud leader and former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as fake. The account had been promoting messages from prominent right-wing personalities like former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Yair Netanyahu, Topaz Luk, Yinon Magal, Galit Distel, Moshe Sa’ada, Avi Simhon, and more.

FakeReporter gathered information, including recognizing the patterns of the account’s automation and alerted Twitter. The social media platform then quickly removed the disinformation account.
