Following the New Israel Fund’s board meeting in Israel last month, and as pro-democracy protests continued to sweep Israel, NIF’s leadership held a meeting with United States Ambassador to Israel Thomas Nides. The conversation was productive and it touched on the most pressing issues facing Israeli democracy and civil society. NIF President Rachel Liel, CEO Daniel Sokatch, and Israel Director Mickey Gitzin expressed their gratitude to Ambassador Nides for his warm welcome and friendship.
