Over 15,000 Israelis and Palestinains attended this year’s Joint Israeli-Palestinian Memorial Day event in Tel Aviv

NIF is proud to support the 18th annual Israeli-Palestinian Joint Memorial Day

This year’s joint annual Israeli-Palestinian Memorial Day Ceremony reminded people around the world that there is hope and that there are thousands willing to fight for it despite heart-breaking loss.

Hundreds of Israeli activists traveled to the West Bank last week to plant trees in solidarity with the Palestinian village of Burin after extremist settlers targeted olive farmers and members of NIF grantee, Rabbis for Human Rights.

Following a a major settler attack on Palestinians in the South Hebron Hills, NIF grantees and other human rights organizations organized a march to protest the violence and support Palestinians’ water rights.

NIF grantee, Omdim Beyachad (Standing Together), has mobilized tens of thousands of Israelis — Jewish and Arab — over the past few weeks to unite under a vision of justice and equality for all.

This year, the alternative Memorial Day ceremony held by Combatants for Peace and the Parents Circle – Families Forum, was held online and attracted record-breaking numbers of attendees.
