Employee must live within commuting distance of San Francisco, CA, and will be expected to work a hybrid schedule with some at-home and in-office days at the NIF office in downtown San Francisco.

Primary Purposes of Job:
The Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative support for the CEO and Board of Directors. The Coordinator handles a wide range of high-level administrative and executive support tasks that involve effective communication and interaction with the CEO, the VP of Finance & Operations, the Board of Directors, and all staff. The Coordinator provides program assistance with the Progressive Jewish Fund donor-advised fund program (PJF) in support of the VP of Finance & Operations. It requires someone who is well-organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, discreet, possesses excellent judgment, and has strong relationship-building and creative problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
Support the NIF CEO in all aspects of leading the organization, including:

  • Arrange and ensure follow-up for CEO’s meetings and scheduling;
  • Manage correspondence, phone calls, and Zoom meetings;
  • Coordinate travel bookings, schedules, and logistics;
  • Prepare background materials, and follow-up plans, for meetings and events;
  • Help coordinate board meetings, including creating and maintaining records, handling logistics in advance and on-site;
  • Manage Board committees, including scheduling and records.
  • Provide support for the Board President, as necessary;
  • Coordinate projects between the CEO and other executive staff;
  • Prepare expense reports, reimbursement forms, and other tracking and administrative reports for the CEO;
  • Manage NIF accounts such as Zoom, DocuSign, and NIF’s travel platform;
  • Help coordinate NIF reporting to Charity Navigator, Better Business Bureau, and others;
  • Support the VP of Finance & Operations with administration and donor relations for PJF, including researching new grantees and assisting donors with transactions and use of technology; and
  • Assist with other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Energetic, intelligent generalist who is an eager learner with critical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills;
  • Resilient, one with the ability to perform with grace and humor under pressure;
  • Comfortable and skilled at interacting with a wide variety of people;
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and fierce about deadlines;
  • Excellent written communication skills;
  • Able to manage and prioritize several projects simultaneously;
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience;
  • Strong professional demeanor and communication skills;
  • Skilled in research, Google Suite, MS Office; comfort and interest in adapting to new technologies;
  • Familiarity with and interest in engaging with Israel, current events, human rights, and social justice issues is preferred.

Location:
This position will work in NIF’s San Francisco office. NIF employees work a hybrid schedule, and the person hired for this position should expect to work in the SF office approximately 2-3 days per week, as NIF policy requires. They must also be comfortable working from home.

Salary and Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $68,000 to $75,000 based on skills and experience.
