Ways to Give

Create a Legacy at NIF that Reflects Your Values

The Hebrew word tzedakah, commonly translated as “charity,” comes from the word tzedek, meaning justice. It reflects the Jewish tradition’s view of right and wrong, social responsibility, and fairness. By choosing to support the New Israel Fund, you are ensuring that the values of tzedek, equality, and democracy enshrined in Israel’s Declaration of Independence will light a path of justice for generations to come.

We hope you will consider leaving a lasting legacy that reflects your values by including the New Israel Fund in your estate plans.

We recognize our visionary legacy donors through membership in the Legacy Society. Lifetime membership is extended to those who make a bequest by will or living trust, or through other planned gifts that support NIF and can provide tax benefits to the donor.

Benefits of joining NIF’s Legacy Society include:

  • Forging connections with others who share your vision of an equal, democratic Israel for all its inhabitants.
  • Invitations to special Legacy Society events.
  • Acknowledgement in NIF materials (except when anonymity is requested).
  • An opportunity to be one of the Voices of Conscience in our collection of statements sharing legacy donors’ values and vision for Israel’s future as a liberal democracy.

Legacy Society members are an inspiration to others to look toward the future and learn how they too can have an enduring impact on an Israel based on democracy and equality.
