For the last few weeks, massive protests in Tel Aviv against the government’s planned judicial reforms have grabbed headlines. And for good reason — last Saturday night an estimated 130,000 Israelis demonstrated in Tel Aviv. But large demonstrations have spread to Haifa, Jerusalem, and Be’er Sheva. For the latter, NIF provided emergency assistance to Negev residents who took to the streets to protest the new government’s radical attempts to degrade democratic government in Israel and undermine the separation of powers.

This was the third consecutive week of mass protests, and support from NIF and its activists has enabled the demonstration to spread throughout the country, including to the Negev. The demonstrations are set to continue with growing support for the foreseeable future.
