Following an investigation by NIF grantee FakeReporter, Twitter has removed a network of fake accounts that were working to support the government’s legislative blitz to gut the judiciary.

A malicious social media user created an automated network that managed to flood the social media platform while bypassing Twitter’s defense mechanisms. After FakeReporter alerted Twitter, the accounts were removed. 

Still, it took an entire day for Twitter to take action — an eternity in terms of how much damage such influencers can cause.
