A new documentary series entitled “Ideals” has aired on Israel’s Channel 13. With funding from NIF and anchored by NIF International Council member Sha’anan Streett (the hip-hop musician and social activist from the band Hadag Nahash), the series focuses on how Israelis in the country’s outlying peripheral regions are often socially ahead of the center and cultural mainstream of Israel.

In the series, Streett tours Israel from north to south, meeting amazing people who have put the periphery in the center through innovative projects. In the first segment of the series, Streett meets the members of the Elad Theater, who perform in the Arava desert. The first two episodes of the series have already aired on Channel 13 and can be viewed (in Hebrew only) on YouTube or NIF Israel and Streett’s own Facebook page.
