NIF Invests in the Next Generation of Leaders

NIF/Shatil Social Justice Fellowship


The NIF/Shatil Social Justice Fellowships enable a cadre of post-college young adults to spend 10 months immersed in the movement for social change in Israel. These Fellowships, which include a modest stipend, place young activists in Israeli NGOs for a year of in-depth contribution and learning.

Global Activism Fellowship

The Global Activism Fellowship is a one-of-its-kind trip to Israel and the occupied territories for passionate young people (ages 21-35) who care about equality, pluralism, civil and human rights, and ending the occupation. You will join a global cohort of participants from the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Australia, and following the trip, continue to connect with Israeli and Palestinian leaders and NIF grantees.

Elissa Froman Social Change Fellowship

A unique opportunity for rabbinical and cantorial students to engage in deep learning about social justice issues in Israel. There are fellowship cohorts in Israel and New York.

Achvat Amim’s Summer Solidarity Cohort

Summer of Solidarity is an opportunity to spend five weeks this summer on the ground working directly with Palestinians and Israelis in the movement for justice and liberation. Participants will join a dynamic learning community in which we will explore and shape Jewish culture, identity, and activism as well as gain critical frameworks for understanding power, change-making, and movement-building. As a community we will directly partake in solidarity work together on the ground designed to strengthen shared society, build relationships, and develop skills.
