Legacy Giving

Meet NIF’s Legacy Society Members:

Louis Newman and Rabbi Amy Eilberg

Rabbi Amy Eilberg and Louis Newman photoOur parents created homes in which contributing to Israel and advocating on its behalf were constantly in the air. From the 1980s on, supporting NIF was a natural extension of these commitments. Here was an organization that was actively shaping Israel into the kind of society we all hoped it would be–democratic, just and vibrant, a place in which all its citizens were treated equally regardless of religion, ethnic origin, gender or sexual orientation. As the circumstances in Israel have made this work even more urgent—we have realized that NIF is the best, perhaps the only, vehicle for realizing the Zionist dream that we were raised to love and support. When Israel someday becomes the country that its founders envisioned, we will know that our support for NIF helped make that possible.
